Do we have some fierce competition today or what? I will delay you no further with talks of: remember no complaining, choose the best driving song, and vote or die.
On to the songs then, leading off we have Jimi Hendrix- "Fire":
Vs Joe Satriani- "Speed of Light":
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Then Ministry- "Jesus Built My Hotrod":
Or Opeth- "Demon of the Fall":

Now it's "Evil Eye" by Fu Manchu:
Against "Trampled Under Foot" by Led Zeppelin:

Finally it's Tom Petty's "Runnin' Down a Dream":
Or Russian Circles' "Mladek":

Kinja ate my polls, can you vote now?
![]() 12/03/2013 at 12:01 |

Voted. Only the last two (Led Zeppelin and Tom Petty) that I would play in my car myself.

I always forget how good "Trampled under foot" is, probably one of Zeppelins most underrated songs.

C'mon... Hendrix against Satriani? The god against a mice???? Not fair! (And btw, I love both songs!)

It's on the same album as Kashmir and according to radio stations, all bands have only ever made 3-4 songs.

I shuffled the deck and that's the match up that happened.

Came back to vote for "Runnin Down a Dream" like I promised. Looks like I'll be taking a twisty, dark road home tonight.

Limited edition picture vinyl. Listening to it next.

Ooooh. I must see more! I got the standard edition in the smoked sleeve with the layered photo book. I will always and forever buy the actual physical Tool albums purely for the packaging.

1. Joe Satriani - Speed of Light. Hard one... but Speed of light takes it on the home stretch.
2. Ministry - JSBH. I love both Opeth and Ministry, but I think JSBH is a much better driving song.
3. Fu Manchu - Evil Eye. This one was easy, Led Zeppelin is awesome, but not really what I listen to while driving.
4. Tom Petty - Runnin' down a dream. Simply because this one is on ALL of my "great driving music comilations".
Also: why have I never heard Russian Circles before? This is GREAT music, perhaps not something I'll listen to while driving though.

Russian Circles kicks so much ass. Postmetal, perfect for when you are driving alone in sparsely populated areas. If I could make a zombie apocalypse movie they would have the sound track all to themselves.

Not even my most awesome vinyl.
That belongs to the Amon Amarth album that I have...

I missed yesterday :( I won't let it happen again. Today I shared the opinion of the majority unlike the first two days.
